How Scout, Torque and Stealth differ

A practical comparison within the current Clan range—not a universal safety ranking.

Scout

Best suited to daily commuting

The simplest everyday starting point for traffic, office or college when a sneaker-led feel matters.

Documented model facts

D3O ankle protectors, reinforced toe and heel zones, DryTech waterproof construction and BIS certification to IS 15298 (Part 4):2024.

Know before choosing

Scout is not CE-certified and ankle-height footwear provides less lower-leg coverage than a full-height boot.

Torque

Best suited to a technical, structured feel

A more machine-inspired high-top for riders who prefer structured construction and technical styling.

Documented model facts

D3O ankle protection, reinforced toe and heel zones, DryTech waterproof construction and BIS certification to IS 15298 (Part 4):2024.

Know before choosing

Torque has reported passing results from its EN 13634:2017 laboratory test programme; formal CE certification is pending.

Stealth

Best suited to documented CE certification

The current Clan choice when issued CE certification, coated leather and sizes through UK 13 are priorities.

Documented model facts

CE-certified to EN 13634:2017, with coated leather, waterproof construction and D3O or rigid TPU ankle options.

Know before choosing

Compare the current live price above. Stealth remains an ankle-height shoe rather than a full-height boot.

How this guide compares the models

Clan compares these models using their current construction, intended use, protection configuration, certification status, fit range and live store price. We make and sell every model in this guide. No motorcycle footwear can prevent every injury.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Fit, use and reassurance—made clear.

Straight answers before you select a model, colour and size.

How should I choose my size?

Measure from heel to longest toe and use the size chart for the model you choose. Select from the measurement rather than assuming your usual casual-shoe size.

Which Clan model should I choose?

Scout prioritises lightweight everyday commuting, Torque has a more structured technical high-top build, and Stealth uses coated leather with CE-certified options. Compare the exact current variant before buying.

Does waterproof mean I can submerge the shoes?

No. Waterproof construction is intended for rain and road spray below the opening. Water can enter through the collar, and submersion is not the intended use.

How do returns and crash cover work?

Eligible unused pairs can be returned or size-exchanged within 7 days. Eligible motorcycle-crash damage occurring within one year of purchase may qualify under Clan’s crash-damage policy; terms and exclusions apply.
